SSUNAA Washington DC Chapter set to host annual Scholarship Dinner on April 7

WASHINGTON — The Savannah State University National Alumni Association Washington DC Chapter will host its annual Scholarship Dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 7 at the Trinidad Baptist Church in Northeast.

Proceeds from the dinner will go to the District of Columbia Alumni Chapter of Savannah State University National Alumni Association Scholarship Award which provides financial assistance to attend Savannah State University to deserving, graduating high school seniors and college students residing in the metro-Washington, DC area. Online Registration is now available for the 2017 SSUNAA Southern Region Conference

ATLANTA — Registration is now available for the 2017 Savannah State University National Alumni Association Southern Region Conference, which will be held March 24-25, at the Atlanta Airport Marriott in Atlanta. This two-day conference was created to enhance professional and personal development and provide opportunities to build leadership skills to build chapters and communities.

Early registration for the conference is $65, if postmarked or paid online before March 14. The regular registration rate is $80 if paid after March 13. SSUNAA East Atlanta Suburban Chapter presents 2017 Spring Concert

2016 GAAHBSU Legislative Conference Registration Now Availalbe

FORT VALLEY, Ga. — The 32nd Annual GAAHBSU (Georgia Alumni Association of Historically Black State Universities) Legislative Conference will be held on January 24 – 26, 2017, at the Ramada Plaza Atlanta Capital Park Hotel (Downtown Atlanta). The registration fee for the conference is $130. Fort Valley State University National Alumni Association, Inc. is the host Association for GAAHBSU 2017.  The theme for this year’s conference is “Envisioning Our Future, Embracing Our Legacy, and Expanding our Horizon”.

GAAHBSU is a consortium of the National Alumni Associations of Albany State University, Fort Valley State University, and Savannah State University. It is organized to advance their missions and to help ensure the futures of these historically significant institutions. The legislative conference provides a forum for alumni and officials of Georgia’s Historically Black Public Universities to dialogue with elected officials and key state leaders to address the universities’ common goals and concerns.

SSUNAA Washington DC Chapter set to host annual Holiday Social

WASHINGTON — The Washington DC Chapter of the Savannah State University National Alumni Association will hold its annual Holiday Social on Saturday, December 10, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. This annual event serves as an opportunity to celebrate the season with Savannah State alumni, students, and university supporters from the local community. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.

The Savannah State University National Alumni Association promotes the welfare of Savannah State University and to assist in advancing the mission and goals of the university’s administration. Established in 1957, the SSUNAA Washington DC Chapter provides support for the Savannah State University community in Washington, DC, northern Virginia, and southern Maryland through a variety of networking, social, athletic, and family-friendly events.
