SSUNAA Jefferson County Chapter mourns the loss of longstanding member Quinton Parker

WADLEY, Ga. — Quinton E. Parker, a SSUNAA life member and a member of the SSUNAA Jefferson County Chapter, died on June 3 in Wadley, Ga.

Parker was a 1942 graduate of Georgia State College, graduating with a bachelors degree in Natural Science and with a minor in Mathematics. After serving in the United States Army during World War II, he earned a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Atlanta University. He did additional study at Vanderbilt University.

As an educator, he served as principal in Adrian and at Wadley’s Carver Elementary and High School. In 1970, he became the Jefferson County Schools Director of the Federal Title I Program a position he held until his retirement in 1982.
