SAVANNAH, Ga. — On Thursday, the Savannah State University National Alumni Association announced the reactivation of the SSUNAA Miami-Dade Chapter. The association will host a reactivation ceremony on Friday, August 19 at 7 p.m. at Morgan’s Restaurant, 28 Northeast 29th Street, in Miami.
“The reactivation of this chapter in Florida’s southern region is exciting and necessary, given SSU’s expansion efforts in student recruitment and the SSUNAA’s desire to reclaim alumni and garner their support for our alma mater” said April Dobbs, the SSUNAA Southern Region Vice-President.
The Executive Committee of the Savannah State University National Alumni Association authorized the reestablishment of the chapter in June 2016 to create an organized network for communications between and among the alumni, administration, faculty, staff and students of Savannah State University and the South Florida region of the United States.
