SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah State University National Alumni Association Savannah Chapter will hold the 2015 Influential SSU Alumni Scholarship Benefit on May 16 at 11:30 am in the Student Union Ballroom on the campus of Savannah State University. The annual luncheon event is designed to builds support for “Up and Coming Influential Alumni” who are 11th or 12th grade students or current SSU students.
The celebration will recognize the achievements of the 2015 ‘alumni couple’ honorees: Robert and Betty Bess, John and Herlene Fluker, Ronald and Ruby Booker, John and Beverly Copeland, Warren and Betty Mitchell, and Minister Clara and Elder Raymond Rouse. The program will also feature alumni and students who have contributed to the goals and objectives of Savannah State University.
Members of the community may participate by reserving space in the program booklet for ads and messages. You may also contact a member of the SSUNAA Savannah Chapter to purchase tickets. The deadline for sponsorships and donations is May 12. SAVANNAH, Ga. — The SSUNAA Savannah Chapter will hold a Liturgical Dance Scholarship Fund Raiser on Sunday, August 10, at 4 p.m. in the King-Frazier Student Center’s Elmore Theatre on the campus of Savannah State University. This dance extravaganza will feature Praise Dance groups from several churches in the Savannah community. Admission is free to the public, however donations will be requested during the event to support the chapter’s scholarship campaign to assist students currently attending Savannah State University.

WASHINGTON – The Savannah State University National Alumni Association District of Columbia Chapter will host the Crab Feast Fundraiser, on Saturday, July 14 at LaFountaine Bleu (7963 Annapolis Road, Lanham, MD) from 2-6 p.m. Tickets proceeds will benefit the chapter’s scholarship fund.
The SSUNAA District of Columbia Chapter annually awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors and college students in need of financial assistance who reside in the DC area to attend Savannah State University.
The purpose of the Savannah State University National Alumni Association is to promote the welfare of Savannah State University and to assist in advancing the mission and goals of the university’s administration.
